Three Rivers 2011 Chardonnay (Columbia Valley (WA))

This marks a change in style from Three Rivers's 2010, with noticeably less new oak influence and a much smaller production. The green apple and pineapple flavors have some sharpness, and the barrel fermentation (just 15% new oak) adds a biscuit-like note of vanilla wafer. Paul Gregutt
