Thurston Wolfe 1999 Pinot Gris - Viognier White (Columbia Valley (WA))

Best Buy

The blend is about two-thirds Pinot Gris and one-third Viognier. Pretty orange-blossom scents lead it off, and it has good acid balance and lots of lemony fruit. Yet it still feels like two separate wines coming together. Spice and pear flavors open up in the glass with a little swirling. Paul Gregutt
