Tommasi 2013 Masseria Surani Dionysos Riserva (Primitivo di Manduria)

Aromas of plum cake, orange and potpourri spice carry to the rounded, lush palate. There's density to the jammy fruit flavors, with immense acidity and copious yet pulverized tannins providing a fine counterbalance. While this leans more powerful than finessed, the overall outcome is quite enjoyable. This should reward with a few years in the cellar. Drink from 2022. Alexander Peartree
