Torbreck 2015 The Steading Blanc White (Barossa Valley)

It's nice to see Torbreck's Rhône-style white blend with a little bottle age. This vintage currently offers a heady combo of honey, grilled pineapple, wet wool, ground ginger spice and a mineral, copper penny-like tang. The palate shows lovely intensity and concentration of flavor. It's full bodied and slippery, with balanced, tingly acidity. An interesting alternative for Chardonnay drinkers. Drink now with a hearty meal until 2025. Christina Pickard
