Torii Mor 1999 Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir (Polk County)

Burly, powerful and very dark; this is no lightweight wine. There's toasted marshmallow, tree bark and some road tar in the nose. A palate jammed full of bold black cherry and herbs follows. The acidity is just right—the wine has a nice tang and a fine mouthfeel despite its obvious ripeness and size.
