This is a multi-vineyard blend, designated reserve because it is a barrel selection. It's got more pungent herb and slightly bitter spice than the less expensive black label Pinot, but otherwise is comparable in quality and flavor. Tart, austere, it mixes cranberry, pomegranate and sour cherry with firm acids and lots of herb.
