Roasted and spicy up front, not unlike a good sauce or BBQ rub. The palate is big and chewy, with sweet plum, blackberry and hard-spice flavors. Plenty of clove and pepper carry the tannic, pumped-up finish. It's 100% Negroamaro made in a modern, well-oaked style.
