Torre León 2003 Gran Reserva Tempranillo (Valdepeñas)

This wine is quite roasted on the nose, with spice and barebecue aromas dominating any fruit that might want to escape. The palate has a hard, tannic, rubbery outlook and flavors of mint, barbecued meat, baked berry and plum. It remains roasted and savory tasting on the finish. Michael Schachner
