Torres 2001 Mas Borràs Pinot Noir (Penedès)

A burly bomber, with a heavily barrel-influenced nose. The palate is broad and chunky, and while undeniably ripe, it's a stretch finding true Pinot Noir characteristics, say something a Burgundian would recognize. Nonetheless, it's got a rich feel and it's definitely not unripe. Michael Schachner
