Torres 2005 Mas La Plana Cabernet Sauvignon (Penedès)

Heavily roasted and loaded up with coffee, mocha and other huge oak-based aromas. Frankly, there's so much new-barrel influence on this youngster that it's hard to assess. Once you're past the oak, there's deep fruit in the blackberry and cassis realm, and then fierce tannins that dry out the palate. Needs time. Michael Schachner
