Creamy and woody, but loaded with enough succulent fruit to offset any potential overoaking. The texture is rich and meaty, while flavor-wise, a streak of black licorice runs down the middle to accent the blackberry that dominates the palate. As good a basic wine as Trapiche has recently made. Michael Schachner
