A little bit stewy, but this is still a serious, higher-end effort from Cigales that shows nice licorice and tobacco aromas. Velvety and tight on the palate, with restrained raspberry flavors sitting in front of oak-based mocha. Good structure; the acidity keeps it lively and the oak gives it depth.
