Trefethen 2010 Merlot (Oak Knoll District)

Hard tannins give a toughness to the blackberry, cherry and mulberry fruits, locking down the palate in puckery astringency. It's severe, although it does have real complexity. Drink it by 2015, but give it a good, long decant.
