Trey Marie 1999 Trutina Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot (Columbia Valley (WA))

Tree bark, moist earth and toast aromas segue into meaty black fruit on the palate. A little lean on the midpalate; finishes with smooth oak, chalk and herb flavors. A blend of Merlot, Cab and Cab Franc—if it's a Bordeaux style they're after, it's working.
