Trimbach 2017 Schlossberg Grand Cru Riesling (Alsace)

Cellar Selection

The nose of this wine is shy but centers on tart lemon freshness. The palate adds pithy texture and an earthy tone, but leaves no doubt about its stony concentration. For now this wine is taut, tight and young, and still needs to relax. A vibrant Amalfi lemon verve on the bone-dry finish gives a glimpse of pleasure to come. Drink 2025–2045. Anne Krebiehl MW
