Trimbach 2018 Gewurztraminer (Alsace)

Both flinty reduction and rose notes play on the nose. The palate comes in with concentration and a pithy, phenolic texture that lends structure and backbone to this rich, rounded, almost oily but dry wine. Pleasant citrus-pith bitterness sits well with the bold, warm but dry generosity. It's best to let this come into its own. Drink 2025–2035. Anne Krebiehl MW
