This metodo ancestrale wine is a pét-nat made with a 50-50 cofermented blend of estate-grown Sangiovese and Montepulciano. It's a robust plum red and exceptionally tannic for a sparkling wine. There's plenty of backing acidity, a refreshing mineral base and a compact core of blackberry fruit. Paul Gregutt
