Tumwater 2016 Prince Hill Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

This vineyard dates back to 1983, when Oregon wine pioneer Dick Erath planted it. This is a most interesting wine with threads of leather, a hint of body powder, and fresh cherry soda fruit flavors. Though seemingly disparate, the flavors are well balanced and set off each other nicely, finishing with suggestions of Bourbon barrel. Taste it while it's young and decide for yourself if it's worth cellaring awhile longer. Paul Gregutt
