Two Vintners 2018 Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

Editors' Choice

With fruit coming from StoneTree, Dineen, Discovery, Olsen, Pepper Bridge, Boushey, and Konnowac vineyards, this is a true pan-Washington Syrah. Consistently one of the best values in the state, the aromas bring notes of cherry Luden's cough drops, Stargazer lily, orange rind, plum and smoke. Fleshy, full-feeling plum and cherry flavors follow, with plenty of orange peel and floral accents throughout. The tannins give a light grip. It's tight still but has great stuffing. Give it a short decant. Sean P. Sullivan
