Tyrus Evan 2003 Walla Walla Claret Red (Walla Walla Valley (OR))

Ken Wright sources this fruit from the Pepper Bridge and Seven Hills vineyards, crafting a pleasant Bordeaux blend that shows the softer side of the valley's fruit. Clean and forward, the mixed flavors of plum and berry are right up front, but the relative weightlessness of the finish suggests that these are from some of the younger vines. Paul Gregutt
