Undurraga 2018 Dry Farmed Old Vines Field Blend Red (Maule Valley)

An opaque ruby color and ripe aromas of cola, blackberry and cassis open this strapping blend of cofermented Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and País from Cauquenes, the heart of the Maule Valley. Chewy tannins are thick but not rough. It tastes of black plum, currant and salt, while minty herbal notes pop up on a finish with bright acidity. Drink through 2025. Michael Schachner
