Charcoal and fresh tar jump off the nose immediately, followed by pencil eraser, graphite, black cherries and fresh blackberries. Stony and woodsy, the palate doubles down on the nose with flavors of charred meat and berry compote. Tannins are firm but forgiving, with acid present but not excessive. Danielle Callegari
