Uwe Schiefer 2017 Weisser Schiefer Welschriesling (Burgenland)

A hint of quince and wet stone on the nose turns into fully fleshed fruit on the concentrated yet light palate. There is quince pervaded by lemon and a lovely, almost oily, slightly phenolic richness. This is a wonderful and fruity but, above all, textured white. The finish is vivid with lemon.
