Deep and ripe, with smooth black-fruit aromas in front of a generous palate that deals cherry, tobacco and vanilla flavors. In terms of feel, this wine isn't overly dense or tannic; in fact, it's modest at the core and getting very close to peak drinkability. Best now through 2009.
