Not a stellar effort from this winery. The nose is more pickled than ideal and no matter how much air you give it there's a strong hint of wet animal. The palate is simple, bold and grapey, while the finish is muddled and tannic. Previous wines, albeit reserve-level bottlings, have been better. Michael Schachner
