Made by winemaker Jesse Katz for chef Dustin Valette, this wine is as gregarious as its namesake, plush and polished, with undeniable structure and accessibility. With grapes grown at Skellenger Vineyard and 11% Merlot from Sugarloaf Vineyard, it shows sweet cherry, oak and supple tannin, concentrated and exuberant in fruit. It will also do well in the cellar; enjoy best from 2028–2033. Virginie Boone
