Robust and round, this opens with aromas of dark berry, espresso and ground black pepper. The ripe palate offers mature blackberry, spicy plum and mocha alongside firm, velvety tannins. A note of bitter prune signals the close. It's not very complex but it's savory and calls out for food. Drink through 2016.
