VC Cellars 2009 Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley)

Lots of Zinny character in this wine, with very ripe blackberry, raspberry and cherry fruit flavors that taste briary and spicy. It's a robust wine that can't quite overcome a certain rusticity, and doesn't try to. A great Zinfandel to drink with barbecue, or a mid-winter oven roast.
