Velich 2001 Trockenbeerenauslese Welschriesling (Burgenland)

Rich and syrupy yet not overly heavy, this unctuous dessert wine boasts aromas and flavors of honeyed nuts, dried apricots and orange marmalade. Long and sweet on the finish, with enough sugar to stand up to fairly sweet desserts, although it might be at its best with blue cheese. Imported by Winemonger.com. Joe Czerwinski
