88pointsVentisquero 2004 Grey Carmenère (Maipo Valley)

Shows plenty of leafy character on the nose, although our reviewers disagreed over whether it was overly green. Flavors are deeply chocolaty and plum-like, with a round mouthfeel and creamy tannins. Soft and plush on the finish, with a balanced blend of spice and fruit. Drink now–2012.
