A pinched nose deals austere, sharp-edged aromas of juniper, vinegar and cranberry. On the palate, this hot-year Pinot is full but prickly, with leafy raspberry and plum flavors offset by notes of green herbs and red pepper. The finish is short, spicy and peppery, with tweaky acidity amplifying green notes along with cooked flavors. Michael Schachner
