Dos Victorias 2003 José Pariente Verdejo (Rueda)

Editors' Choice

Balanced Spanish whites were rare in the hot '03 vintage, but this one is. Two female winemakers, hence the Two Victorias name, flat-out nailed this Verdejo, which pours on round peach, gooseberry, almond and mineral aromas and flavors. Clean as a whistle, with a finish that hits with power. Michael Schachner
