Released long after the winery's other 2014s, this is worth the wait. Given 18 months in French oak and more years in bottle, it's immensely appealing from the first sniff to the last sip. Roasty-toasty aromas wrap the smooth, smoky raspberry fruit in a cloak of delicious barrel flavors. A hint of pine needles further elevates the finish. This could be cellared further, but why wait? The heavy lifting has been done by the winery. Paul Gregutt
