Vignobles Boudinaud 2017 Red (Lirac)

Whispers of anise, black pepper and cardamom lend spice to sultry blueberry and black plum flavors. A blend of Grenache (60%), Cinsault (20%) and Syrah (20%), it's a voluptuous, lusciously textured sip but maintains vitality and brightness throughout. Fine, feathery tannins make it welcoming in youth, but it's a wine that's concentrated enough to hold through 2025 at least. Anna Lee C. Iijima
