91pointsVilla Maria 2005 Taylors Pass Single Vineyard Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

Shows that Marlborough shouldn't be discounted when discussing New Zealand's best Pinot Noir regions. It's wonderfully floral and complex on the nose, dealing scents of rose petals, cola and black cherry, wrapped in a silky filigree of herbal notes. It's full-bodied, yet elegant and finely textured, with excellent persistence. Drink now, but it should last a few more years.
