Rubbery roasted aromas of burnt leaves and generic berry fruits are fine but not compelling. This Cab has a big jammy outlook. Candied flavors of berry fruits, oak and brown sugar convey ripeness, but the finish is low on acidity and weak on tannins, and thus this ends quietly. Michael Schachner
