Viña Chocalan 2014 Alexia Red (Maipo Valley)

The spicy, foresty aromas on this Bordeaux-style blend are easily identifiable as Chilean, as are the cool, herbal black fruit scents. A pushy palate with narrow tannins feels like it's collapsing, while this tastes peppery and spicy. A pinched, gravelly finish is a carry over from before. Michael Schachner
