90pointsViña Cobos 1999 Bramare Malbec (Mendoza)

The little brother to Cobos; this wine is filled with tobacco, cedar and milk chocolate aromas and all the plum, berry, coffee and licorice flavors one might expect from excellent Malbec. The finish is tight but smooth, with a fine underlay of vanilla oak. This wine has perfect balance; it's properly acidic yet rich, with freshness and weight but no syrupy qualities.
