This bruiser of a Malbec shows an opaque purple color in front of an inky, jammy bouquet that's rich and minerally. The palate on this single-vineyard winner is dense, with grip and huge flavors of blackberry, licorice and fresh raisin. On the finish, this gets a little warm and more dark, with a baked character. Drink through 2016; 80 cases made. Michael Schachner
