Round and fruity, with a full nose of big fruit and leather. Smells solid, but hits the palate with tremendous tannic force, to the point that it's overdone. The mouthfeel is gritty, but the flavors of fudge, black cherry and spice save it. Imported by Viña Requingua. Michael Schachner
