Viña Requingua 2008 Toro de Piedra Carmenère-Cabernet Sauvignon (Curicó Valley)

A beast of a red wine, with minty, earthy aromas that sprinkle in tobacco and mint leaf. The palate is fiery and tannic while the flavors of blackberry, coffee and chocolate come with heat and ruggedness. Big on power and flavor, but short on refinement and elegance. Michael Schachner
