Viña Requingua 2017 Toro de Piedra Gran Reserva Syrah-Cabernet Sauvignon (Curicó Valley)

A pinched nose shows a balsamic topping along with traditional Chilean aromas of spiced plum, cherry and tobacco. This blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon feels fleshy and mouthfilling, but imprecise. Plum, leafy berry, spice and herbal flavors break up and taste a bit greasy and like chicken fat on the finish. Michael Schachner
