Violet, dark plum and blackberry aromas push aside any sauvage character that Syrah may be noted for, but the meaty, pure intensity of the wine works well. Offsetting chewy, deep and dark fruit are creamy oak, vanilla and tobacco notes. Nicely made Syrah, with smoked meat and jerky on the finish.
