A soft, integrated nose of red berry, spice and some smoke leads on this Merlot from Romania. The berry and spice flavors are slightly angular with a sweet, wooded finish, and the tannins pronounced. A mildly rustic Merlot that could use some aging or a good piece of meat to temper the edge.
