They raised the price on this limited bottling, and it's a delicious wine, but not on par with recent vintages. There's extreme ripeness, which yields almost dessert-quality blackberry and cherry fruit; sweet, soft, complex tannins and high oak. But the '04 tastes less dry and more simply structured than its predecessors.
