The bouquet has a strong lemony scent, one that seems to come from the wood treatment it went through. But there's also saturated black fruit, boysenberry flavors and, of course, huge, drying tannins. This is not an ordinary wine, or an ordinary Tannat. It certainly brings some zing to the table.
