Viu Manent 2001 Viu 1 Malbec (Colchagua Valley)

The second version of this world-class Chilean Malbec (with some Cabernet blended in) is on a par with the inaugural '99. If you like a rich, fully oaked, corpulent red, one with ripe plum and berry fruit, oozing chocolate, and just enough spice to ward away boredom, this is it. Needs another year or so in bottle.
