Viu Manent 2008 Secreto Carmenère (Colchagua Valley)

Opens with sweet, candied fruit and herb aromas. The palate is aggressive and fairly tannic, while the palate rattles about with herbal wild berry, coffee and burnt flavors. Definitely lively and forward, but also rough and slightly drying and bitter on the finish. Michael Schachner
