VJB 2002 Syrah (Alexander Valley)

Huge jammy fruit is the hallmark of this wine, with blackberries cascading over the palate in a mouthfilling rush. Some coffee, meaty and hay-like notes add complexity. Tastes almost sweet, yet clamps down on the finish with drying tannins.
