Grenache (53%) takes the lead on this Rocks District wine followed by Syrah (37%) and Mourvèdre. The use of stems is apparent with aromas of cooked asparagus and green olives followed by earth, smoke, herbs, mineral and cherry. The flavors are rich, focused and mesmerizing, with a velvety feel and a hyperextended, savory finish. It has a distinctive, love it or hate it style.
